Challenging the production of a coating mat with larger surface irregularities!

Our company’s unique technology is used to produce "coating matte processed products," which are currently being adopted by a wide range of customers and used in numerous applications. In recent years, there has been an increasing demand from customers for coating mats with a rougher surface texture (Ra 1.0μm or higher). In response to this trend, we are working on creating a grade of coating matte that features larger surface irregularities by innovating the particle size distribution added to the coating agent. We are committed to expanding the variety of coating mats to meet these demands through our daily development efforts. By directly imparting antistatic properties to the coating mat layer, we solve the issues of sustainability and stability in products that were difficult to address with conventional methods.

Otsuki Industries has developed a "static electricity prevention performance coating mat" that directly incorporates antistatic properties into the coating mat layer. Until now, products have been processed by applying a coating mat followed by an antistatic coat on the surface of the coating mat to impart antistatic effects. The products obtained through this process have certain performance characteristics and are used in various applications, but they have faced challenges in terms of sustainability and stability.
